Nyeek is a social get together for board game enthusiasts in the New York City area. If that sounds kind of geeky let me assure you that it absolutely is. We play all types of board games (abstract, party, thematic), but we tend to lean towards Euro Games. Games that usually have simple rules, relatively short playing times, and no player elimination, so they’re pretty accessible to newcomers. We are dedicated to playing board and card games and having fun. Games vary from classics like: Monopoly or Scrabble to Card based games like: Hearts or Euchre to german style games like: Carcassonne or Settlers to Wargaming ones like: Risk, Diplomacy, Axis and Allies, depending on who brought what and what people want to play.

This is a group for NERDY current mental health professionals, students becoming mental health professionals, and friends of mental health professionals who care about social justice. Our goal is to provide at least one activity every month for mental health professionals, students, and  that is centered around nerdy activities, like board game nights (Carcassonne, Cards Against Humanity, Settlers of Catan, etc.) nerdy movie nights, RPGs, and more.
